Many people would want to play a drum prior to buying one.  To facilitate this, we have developed a rental program.  This allows you to play a drum with your band, in the environment you are accustomed to.  You may also wish to use our rental program if you are recording and cannot afford a custom drum yet. 

After you have selected a drum from our available selection, you will be asked to send us a Paypal payment for the sale price of the drum, plus $20 shipping.  If the drum is shipped back to Comptone within one week, you will be sent a Paypal payment for the price of the drum minus $50.  If the drum is kept over 7 days, the refund will be minus $100, and so on.

For example, you contact us and determine the 14 x 4 1/2 walnut snare drum is available, and you would like to rent it for one week.  The retail price is $450, so you would Paypal Comptone $470 for the use of the drum.  We send it UPS to you.  You keep it for 6 days after it arrives from UPS and return it via USPS, UPS, or Fed Ex.  You are charged for the time of use, not the time in transit, so you are asked to send Comptone a tracking number once the drum is shipped.  We receive the drum and we inspect it.  If it is received in the same condition it was shipped out in, you will receive $400 via Paypal.  If the drum has damage, the wholesale cost of the parts required to repair the drum will be deducted from Paypal return.
